To make our prescribing faster, more efficient and safer, we will no longer be accepting medication requests via email.
Please continue ordering your medications via our website (patient access), the NHS app or via paper if you have no internet / wifi.
When ordering via our website, select REQUEST MEDICATION.
GPs are often the default for every problem, but Pharmacists are also trained in lots of minor ailments from sore throats to constipation. Learn more about when you should see your pharmacist instead of your GP.
Speak to a GP via text messages for anything that does not need an appointment like queries, advice, urine infections, skin problems (upload photos), sick notes and more.
Avoid the busy phone lines and book with ease from home. Book routine and same day appointments (same day slots visible from 8am on the day).
Our Urine infection service means you don't need an appointment in most cases. Tell us your symptoms, duration and our Doctors will review and prescribe antibiotics if appropriate. We may request a urine sample first.
Remember that you MUST self-certify for the first 7 days as we can only issue notes after 7 days absence.
Request medication online instead of phoning our busy phone lines. Don't have patient access yet? It is easy to do. Simply register and start ordering your medication. It's that easy! Or order throught the NHS App.
You can now register online if aged 16 or above. We will send you a form to complete your registration.
If under 16 years - please visit reception to register with birth certificate and passport if you have one.
We have WON....!
Runners Up....! A great achievement in this competitive award against medical and technology companies inspiring the future in health, science & technology.
Well done Dr. Wilshere for being awarded the Oldham Peoples Choice for his hard work and support to the local community in 2023.
We sadly have hundreds of appointments not attended every month, with some months over 500 missed appointments.
Imagine how many extra appointments we would have for all out patients if they were cancelled or attended....
Missed appointments cost the NHS over £200 millions pounds per year.
Missed appointments mean other patients needing medical help or support can not get an appointment as easily.
Imagine ho much easier it would be to get a timely appointment if people turned up for their appointments!?
Please contact us ASAP if you no longer need your appointment or are unable to attend so we can offer it to someone else.
Patients receive text messages for their appointments and reminders before.
Patients may be contacted by the practice if they repeatedly do not attend to identify issues and prevent this from happening.
Please complete this form to tell us about a good service or a member of our team that helped you or anything else positive. Thank you.
Please browse our range of services and select the most appropriate.
Please use this service to renew your existing sick note. New sick note requests need a GP review first unless you have been in hospital recently and we have a hospital letter. Your GP can only issue a sick note after 7 days absence from work.
Click here to register with our CQC 'Outstanding for Care' GP Surgery. We've made registration as easy as we can.
Alternatively, you can access results through your online access but these can sometimes be confusing without medical knowledge so we do not always recommend. If you do want access, please email us.
Stressed? Anxious? Depressed? Bereavement? There is lots of help available. Find out more...
There are lots of services available without needing to see a GP. These are wide ranging and include;
How does Focused Care work?
Patients are referred by practice staff, local community workers or even the police, when the usual care plan does not appear to be working. The Focused Care Practitioner then works with the patient’s household to begin to unpick situations, assessing need and using local health and community contacts in order to begin to bring stability to an often chaotic situation. They bring together agencies and patients, and also establish accountability for the patient and for the agencies involved, meaning that appointments are attended, practical support is provided and a glimmer of hope and change comes to that household.
See this brilliant video which explains the service more and see how they can help you.
Want to learn more about your health condition or your medication? The NHS website has really good advice about medical conditions and the medication you take.
Dr. Wilshere is the Lead GP.
Even though we try our best, we cannot always see everyone. In these instances, the NHS always has numerous options available to you.
