Getting an Appointment

How to see a Clinician Routine or Urgent

You can book an appointment in one of the following ways in advance (pre-book) or on the same day from 8am. Please use the online system appropriately and only use the same day appointments for more urgent needs. We may reschedule your same day appointment if it is not urgent for the same day.

  • Do you need an appointment or can we do online? Instant access to a Clinician via our online request service for medical and admin enquiries. See our home page.
  • Book online - simple and easy to do (quickly register if needed) - Patient access
  • Call our admin team on 0161 357 1600 - lines are busy but are answered very quickly via a que system.
  • Call extended hours team on  0161 271 3180 for appointments in the evenings

                    6:30pm - 9pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 9am - 5pm.

Book Online via PATIENT ACCESS

Best Way To Book An Appointment

The easiest and quickest way is to book online via Patient Access. Click Book Online button now. Register if you have not already as it is easy to do. Alternatively you can call us or extended hours on the numbers above.

Circumstances when you do NOT need an appointment

  • You have a suspected Urine infection - please fill out an online request via the home page.
  • You need a Sick (fit) note - please request online via the home page and add as much detail as you can. Please note that we can only issue a note after you have already self-certified for 7 days.
  • Your health concern can be dealt with by a pharmacist - see here

Cancelling an appointment

If you no longer need your appointment please let us know as soon as possible. Please call us on 0161 357 1600 or email us at r.quayside@nhs.net. Please be mindful that we may not see emails straightaway so please phone if your appointment is for the same day.

Doing so helps us reduce the hundreds of missed appointments we have every month.

Make an Online Request or Enquiry

You can contact us if easier via our online consultation tool. This is ideal for non-urgent admin requests, our UTI service and fit note requests.

Home Visits

Home visits are reserved for patients that are housebound and are unable to leave their home. Whilst it is convenient to have a home visit, they do take up a lot more time for our team and means we have less time seeing patients overall. You will need to be registered as housebound if necessary by our team. We only do visits within our practice boundary, unless in exceptional circumstances.

Please request a home visit before 11am wherever possible.  Please ring the surgery and select the Home Visit line.

Need medical care urgently?

Even though we try our best, we cannot always see everyone. We only have a limited amount of appointments each day.

In these instances, the NHS always has numerous options available to you.

- NHS 111 can offer assistance and medical help 24/7 and possibly an appointment to see a Clinician if needed

- 999 is for any Emergency: if unsure call 999 as you will be assessed appropriately
