At Quayside we are committed to tailor your care journey to your need. To achieve this we have the following online contact methods available, please pick the appropriate link related to your query. If you have chosen the wrong link you may get a friendly reply asking you to resubmit under the correct link so your query gets to the appropriate team, this also helps educate our patients for future requests.
Please bear in mind we are only human and can only do so much in a day, over worked doctors can make mistakes. Quayside makes up only a very small proportion of the NHS service available to you, some of which are more appropriate depending on your need (see bottom of this page).
Importantly, if you feel you need seeing urgently please contact 111 or 999.
We are getting a lot of urgent medical requests via this service, therefore these limits are for your best interests and currently set to 12 noon (this may change depending on the numbers received).
Please note if a request is sent via a inappropriate form after we have reached capacity we will not action, and will let you know this so you can contact us at an appropriate time.

GPs are often the default for every problem, but Pharmacists are trained in treating lots of ailments. Please contact your local pharmacist if you have one of the following issues, this is free as part of your NHS Care:

Request medication online instead of phoning our busy phone lines. Don't have patient access yet? It is easy to do. Simply register and start ordering your medication. It's that easy! Or order throught the NHS App.

Remember that you MUST self-certify for the first 7 days as we can only issue notes after 7 days absence

Under 65s that are not pregnant can access treatment straight away via the Pharmacy First Service.
If you do not fit this criteria tell us your symptoms, duration, and related past issues so our team can review and prescribe antibiotics if appropriate. We may request a urine sample first. Obviously this can reach capacity like other on the day medical requests.

These requests will be reviewed by a GP as soon as possible. Due to demand and safety this option will close at 12 noon, or sooner if capacity is reached.
Please do not use an inappropriate form for an urgent medical request as your issue will not be dealt with. There are multiple other NHS services availble in this case.

There are different ways to get your test results but we always tell you about any abnormal results either through SMS or telephone call or by letter. We also will tell you about normal tests like samples and radiology investigations. We like to keep you in the loop as soon as we know so make sure we have an uptodate mobile number on your records.

You can request your routine nurse lead chronic disease appointment via this link, e.g. COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, Contraceptive Pill Review & Immunisations

Requests can be submitted to our helpful admin team via this link. This is for non-urgent equiries, e.g. your immunisation history, private letters, routine appointments, and general enquiries.

In these instances, the NHS always has numerous options available to you.
- NHS 111 can offer assistance and medical help 24/7 and possibly an appointment to see a Clinician if needed
- 999 is for any Emergency: if unsure call 999 as you will be assessed appropriately
