    CORONOVIRUS UPDATE

    Changes to ‘walk-in services’ Walk-in services across Oldham will change temporarily to protect patients, staff and the wider local community. The walk-in centre based at the Integrated Care Centre (ICC), New Radcliffe Street, Oldham OL1 1NL, is now closed until further notice. New coronavirus assessment hub The Integrated Care Centre in Oldham will now care 24/7 for patients with potential coronavirus symptoms. Through the Hub patients can be given advice over the phone, telephone, video and face-to-face consultations or GP home visits where and when appropriate. The service is ONLY for people who have potential coronavirus symptoms and are unwell, but do not need emergency care. Access to the service is via your GP or after contacting NHS 111. In the first instance patients are encouraged to seek advice online via www.111.nhs.uk, or ring NHS 111.

    CORONOVIRUS GUIDANCE UPDATE

    Avoid coming into the surgery unless necessary. If you have a routine appointment please can you consider whether it can be postponed? Order prescriptions online or post in the box situated in the atrium – DO NOT COME IN TO THE SURGERY. Or you can send your prescription via Royal Mail. You can also speak to your pharmacist about these arrangements. Doctors will continue to see patients where there is a need to be seen. These measures are to protect you under the current extreme circumstances. Online appointments are still available; please note these appointments will ONLY be available as telephone consultations or a video consultation – DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY. To protect vulnerable patients If you have a persistent cough and or cold – DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY – self isolate for 7 days. If you have symptoms of Coronavirus – DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY – self isolate for 14 days. Use NHS 111 online to guide you.
